This is the "Falling For Leaves" skirt in last years Fall issue of Down East Basics catalog.
My Version minus the second layer and some bulkiness. In this photo I have the shirt ending right where the bulk of the skirt begins.

This is not shown in the upper picture. On the original it looks to be elastic stitching around the hip and all edges are zigzag finished with the layers connected onto the outside of the skirt.
Some playing around the skirt can be made into a top
What do you think of my first attemp?
Should I do more?
