For those that know my son Christopher, he is a bean pole and the age of 4 1/2 has the waist of a 1 year old and the legs of a 6 year old. So, I make most of his pants.
These are made from stiff green denim and heavy duty elastic in the waist, the pattern I used was my basic pants pattern.
It's funny I have used the same pants pattern on his pants for the last two years, the only thing I have changed is the length in the legs.
