Sierra's Birthday Tissue Puffs

Sierra thinks that tissue puffs are real pretty so I surprised her with some for her birthday.

  This was the first time for me to make them, not too bad.

Not pictured are others that I hung up in her room.

Tried It - Tie Dye with Sharpies

A week ago I posted about the discovery of Tie Dying with Sharpies. The project impressed me so much I had my sons to try it, and they absolutely LOVED it.

 The only thing we changed was we used coffee cans instead of dinky solo cups. Also the boys used the alcohol sparingly to get just the right amount of bleed for their artwork.

Painting Curtains

I have noticed a trend happening with curtains and it is to paint them, not just any color but more often they are....BLUE! I have found two good examples of how to transform a curtain with paint.

 This Patterned curtain is done using stencils and left over latex paint to match the current wall colors.

On this over sized curtain they did Ombre Stripes using masking tape and paint.

These got me to thinking of a post "DIY Screen Printing" by Whimsy love where she did printed t-shirts using embroidery hoops and mod podge. I would bet that her technique could work for curtains too, just a little more time consuming.

Feeling Knotty

I came across Fusion Knots about a month ago and this knot called Celtic Heart Knot  has been stuck in my head ever sense. It is very pretty and I would really love to make something incorporating it in, but what? I guessed that if I could not think of something I might as well share the link so that others can see it and get inspired to make something.

Freezer Paper Stenciling

I have been doing this for awhile myself but never made a how to for sharing. Kristina at Sir Bubbadoo has put together a great tutorial on how to do freezer paper stenciling and it covers every thing you need to know. The only thing she does differently than I do is she irons afterwards (I never do that, I think should start), but the rest is the same. I love her the onesies she has made.

Rosettes Are Red, Rosettes Are Blue

Ever wonder how to make a rosette, Or what to do with them if you already know how to make them? I've came across two posts that include rosettes, making them and crafting with them.

Ever go through all of your keys just to get to the right one? I have, and it makes me mad when I am in a hurry and can;t find the one I need. This little trick can help, paint your keys different colors with nail varnish to color code them, next time you need to use your keys you will know which one to go to.
