Vintage McCall's 6012

Front: The slit in the front really plunges, I think by sewing it up just a little on the inside will help with that.

Back: I have changed up the wrap around tie. I was not going to use all one color and risk looking like a bound blueberry. Instead I have used a vintage scarf to break up all of the blue. It is one that only wraps around once instead of twice and it ties in the back instead of front.

Close Up Front: Probably can not see it but I have used a really old frosted glass button on the yoke.

This is a pattern from 1978 McCall's Carefree Collection. The one I did is D the long yellow dress on the middle of the packet. I think that the sizing for this dress is all wrong, it is supposed to be a small and it is more like a medium. The fit is very roomy.

*This pattern is concidered to be  a vintage pattern since it is older than twenty years. It is almost the same age as me and I don't concider myself to be vintage. I called the scarf a vintage it is more than fifty years old, thats vintage to me.*

Black Paisley Dress

McCalls  M5652 B Black paisley body and straps with an off black bodice and ruffle. I changed the straps to a wide set, the other ones were a pair of spaghetti straps This dress almost drags the floor on me. The bodice has decorative stitching on the edges that continues up around to the back of the dress. Decorative stitching on the back of bodice.

Blue Transportation Shirt

McCalls 41 64 He looks just like his daddy in this shirt, not that Ashley would wear a shirt with plains, cars, trains and boats on it. Of course he does wear the Elvis shirt that I made him. I made this last night and put the buttons on this morning. Daniel was so excited when I surprised him with it this afternoon. This fabric is very soft and kind of silky. Same as Christophers 2 pockets, short sleeves. It goes well with camo pants..

My Good Looking Model

The Pants and Shirt Together He loved modeling his new clothes. Christopher was the one to pick the short sleeves and  to have Two pockets (pattern only calls for one pocket). He was so excited last night to have a puppy shirt he slept with it beside him.

Shirt And Pants

McCalls 4164 I made the shirt for Christopher it is comparable to a childrens size 2/3 but, it turned out looking like a  childrens 4/5. Its kind of big on him. No Pattern Here! I thoght it would be cute to have some pants to match his shirt. He insisted that everything have Pockets, Pockets and more Pockets. I had to use some of the puppy fabric on the pants, there  so Cute!!
