Battle Sword PDF

The amazing Battle Boy and his Battle Sword !!

 There comes a time in a mans life when he needs a Battle Sword. Lucky for this one he has a mommy that can make him one.

 It's good to occasionally hold your sword like a guitar.

 Lopped off a foot, anyone?

 Maybe a toe....

 I made his sword using cardboard and electrical tape.
1. Traced the template onto cardboard. You might trace two so you can sandwich them together to make it thicker.

 2. Use scissors or exacto knife to cut out sword (I had to use an exacto knife because of my wrist) do which ever is the easiest for you.

3. Once its cut start taping that sword! You can typically find cheap electrical tape at any discount store 5 color bundle for a buck!

Transformers Stencil Shirt

This is Daniels Transformer stencil shirt that I made from a movie poster.

(poster is at bottom of post)

 

 It took a bit to get him to smile, but I got it. 

I found this movie poster two days ago and got an idea to make it into a stencil. I left out the slits on the sides of the head and made the triangle smaller, well the triangle being smaller is from cutting in the wrong place with my blade so I went with it.

If you print this out in the lowest quality in black and white it makes for a excellent stencil.

Brown Spider Shirt Tutorial

 Any little boy (or big boy) that loves bugs will love this shirt and it is so easy to make.

 What you will need: 

Spider stencil (at bottom of post), t-shirt, fabric for the spider

 Optional magic cover (clear film laminate)

 Step 1: Print out spider on a full sheet of paper. Trim around the spider, I left lots of white on mine because of the weave of the fabric that I used was loose and I did not think that the spider would hold together. That and I wanted it to look more like a tarantula.

Step 2: Cover the spider while it is sitting on the brown fabric with magic cover so you can cut it out easier without any worries. If you don't have any magic cover just pin the stencil down and cut around the spider carefuly.

 Step 3: Pin the spider to the shirt. Picture is fuzzy there are only 12 pins on it at the ends of legs and main body.

 Step 4:  Zig Zag stitch all the way aroud the spider

 Step 5: Strait stitch on the inner edge of spider all the way around to reinforce it so it does not slip out of the zig zag stitching on the legs. Make sure this step is done, one of mine wanted to come loose when turning the spider stitching it, but after reinforcing it it was secure, even when stretched it stayed.

Step 6: Add eyes, do this by taking embroidery floss and on the under side pull it up through making a knot on the top, then pull it back down to under side, tie it off.

Your done now, enjoy you spider Shirt!

Brown Spider Shirt

I told Daniel I had a surprise for him when he finished studying and doing home work. I did not tell him what it was or the fact that it was something that I made. I made him a shirt with a brown spider on it because of his fascination with bugs of all shapes and sizes. When he finished his work I took him to my work room and told him "HAPPY THURSDAY", his face slightly contorted (he's not a clothes sort of guy) then I unfolded it to show him what he was getting. I have never seen him get so giddy over a shirt in his whole life, mommy knew that even though he does not like new clothes he will always have room in his closet for a "cool manly T-shirt".

Now does he not look chuffed to you?

 He could hardly hold a strait face, he was that happy.

 I had to tell him to sit for awhile and breath deep breaths and to calm down.

 A little crushed leaf blowing always good.

Once Old Now New

Once more a shirt redo, this time paint was involved.

I have choosen to paint a star with silver paint on a cut out circle.

 

My model was very happy to get his shirt back.

A Favorite Once More!

What to do with a long sleeve shirt that a little boy refuses to get rid of, repurpose the gross thing and have fun doing it. This is one of the shirts in question, it has stains and rips!

As you can see I have cut off the sleeves and hemed them back up. Then I

took the sleeve that had no holes in it and used number 4 stencel to make a cover up
for the stains. He loves his "New Old Favorite" shirt, he has shown
anyone that has came to our house what mommy has done for him.

Guitar Shirts

The boys have wanted me to make them some
guitar shirts for awhile now. I just got around to
doing it today or I more of just remembered that
they wanted them.


This one is Christophers, he picked green for
his guitar. They are always going around saying
MAJOR ROCK STAR so I added stars to them.


Daniel wanted red because he already has a real blue
guitar, brother has a black one and a green one on his shirt
and no one had red, so red it was.

Rocket Shirts

I made one for both boys

The stencil I used did not have flames, we decided
it needed flames to look COOL.

In this pic they still need the heat set step.
