Ottobre Winter 6/08 Skirt #16B
I had given my twin nieces a slip of paper for christmas that read:
A custom made skirt for you.
You pick the pattern
and the fabric from my stash.
They were really excited to get to "design" a skirt of their choice.
One of them chose the fabric that I was already working with on somthing for myself. The other chose a pretty pink polka dot. They both desided that the polka dot was springish so they both went for the plaid. Now I have spring skirts in the making.
It was lots of fun letting someone else deside what
to make and how it should look.
My camra desided that it wanted to be warmed up before taking
pictures, unfurtunatly I did not know that so this photo is ghostly.
And here is the jacket to go with the skirt I made for Sierra.
The trim has kind of got the ruffle affect.
It is very hard to photograph a piece of clothing without a model.
It looked funny all by itself so I went ahead and paired it with
the skirt and shirt.
This skirt has a special panel in the front where you can
scrunch up the skirt.
There are ties right under the scrunched up part
to adjust how much to bring it up or down.
Or you can just leave the ties to hang and have no gathering of the skirt.
