On Craftster marieC, one of their members, has posted about fixing too small T-Shirts so they will fit or cutting out sweat spots and replacing them with fresh unstained fabric. Go to it here.
I often have this problem with some shirts that I buy, the top half will be a perfect fit and the bottom will be shaped for a toddler.

What a neat idea! I just wish I could find a nice way to make a t-shirt longer since I find that many sit a little too high for my liking.
